resilience: (noun):
1: the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties; toughness.
2: the ability of a substance or object to spring back into shape; elasticity.

We’ve had lots of conversations, and done so much work, some easy, some hard work, some unexpected. We’ve learned a lot – from each other, from our place, and from this strange, huge disruption we’ve all lived through. And we’ve learned how resilient we are, and how to ramp up that capacity, in times of emergency. About what has enabled us to cope with the biggest disruption and threat to our lives since the second world war. We learned how better to:

1: communicate – a community which keeps talking is a community which can spot the good, and bad and the ugly way ahead of time
2: collaborate – a diverse community of many connections can cope in the face of a threat
3: imagine our future – a community which works to invest in its place, not extract from it, is a community with a way forward
