our (covid-flexible) events programme
Our objective was to develop and deliver year-round programme of events and activities that are sensitive to the area; and do this by working collaboratively and support local ideas that fill the cultural, heritage and artistic gaps in the current events offer.
We worked with community members to assess and commission the best of the ideas that came forward, and put everything into place.
Then lockdown happened – so we flexed, and rethought, and worked hard to make sure the events could still go ahead, even if full lockdown continued until the official end of the project.
And to find out what we did when our work to make those local cultural events accssible to local people referred through local GP surgeries was again postponed for the second time as a result of lockdown – click here! Once again our creativity muscle was flexed. It’s all about flexibility!
