Carn Gloose & Ballowall Barrow

Opening Times

Outdoor space open year round

Above Cape Cornwall to the south is the outcrop of Carn Gloose commanding magnificent views of the Cape and the Brisons.

Here you will find Ballowall Barrow which is one of the largest and most complex of the prehistoric funerary monuments along the West Penwith coastline. Often sited in dramatic locations, they are said to have been probably built by local communities to provide striking shrines or tombs for their dead.  You can read more about this site with English Hertiage.
